Billing
Plans, upgrades, and how Bandweb handles billing through Stripe.
Plans overview
Free — Build your site in the dashboard: enrichment, catalog, design editor, and in-app preview. Preview links are not publicly shareable without a signed session from the app.
Pro ($19/month or $180/year) — Publish to your public URL ({slug}.bandweb.site / custom domain), ongoing auto-sync, custom domains, and Pro modules (tour, merch, videos, contacts, campaigns). Annual subscribers get one custom domain registration included in the first year.
You pay when you publish (monthly or annual Checkout, charged immediately — no trial on the start-free path). Cancel anytime in Settings → Billing.
If you cancel after publishing, your public site goes offline and you return to free (editor + in-app preview kept). Resubscribe to republish.
Publishing
- Click Publish in the design editor (or Publish & subscribe on the free banner).
- Choose monthly or annual Pro and complete Stripe Checkout.
- After payment, Bandweb deploys your production site.
Upgrading to Pro (from Settings)
- Open the dashboard and go to Settings → Billing.
- Choose Upgrade / Subscribe to Pro.
- Pick monthly ($19/month) or yearly ($180/year — $15/month effective).
Changing your billing frequency
- Go to Settings → Billing → Manage (Stripe portal).
- Switch between monthly and yearly.
Updating your payment method
- Go to Settings → Billing → Manage (Stripe portal).
- Update your card under Payment method.
Canceling
- Settings → Billing → Cancel — subscription ends at the current period.
- After the period ends, the public site is taken offline and the account returns to free.
- While cancel is pending, a status notice appears in the dashboard. Use Keep Pro to undo and resume renewal.
Deleting an artist
- Settings → Delete artist with no active subscription permanently removes the site immediately.
- If the site has an active Stripe subscription, deletion is scheduled for the end of the current billing period (month or year). The artist stays fully usable until then; afterward it is permanently deleted. No refund or proration.
- While deletion is scheduled, a status notice appears. Use Keep artist to undo (resume the subscription and cancel the scheduled delete).
- Billing → Cancel alone returns you to free at period end and does not delete the artist.
Inactive free accounts
- After 60 days without activity: warning email.
- After 90 days: preview freezes (data kept; login rebuilds preview).
- After 365 days: site may be removed; your user account remains so you can start again.
Custom domains
- Annual Pro: one custom domain registration is included in the first year.
- Monthly Pro: pay the registrar price at checkout, or connect a domain you already own.
Newsletter sends
- Unlimited contacts on Pro.
- Monthly billing: ~10,000 sends per month soft cap (in-flight campaigns always finish).
- Annual billing: uncapped sends.
Legacy trials
Sites already on a Stripe trialing subscription are grandfathered through trial end, then convert or land on free per existing billing rules.
